McConnells Sherry Cask Whiskey

McConnell’s Irish Whisky traces its roots to Belfast in 1776, making it one of Ireland’s oldest whiskey brands. Revived in recent years, the producer honours its historic heritage while embracing modern craftsmanship at its Belfast distillery. The region’s temperate maritime climate and access to high-quality local water support the production of smooth, characterful Irish whiskey.

McConnell’s Sherry Cask Finish is crafted from a blend of Irish malt and grain whiskeys, initially matured in selected oak casks before undergoing a finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks. The nose reveals notes of caramel, vanilla and rich fruitcake, while the palate offers flavours of sultanas, honey, dark chocolate and gentle spice.
