Mas La Mola Vi di Altura Priorat 2019

Mas La Mola is a small, family-run estate located in the rugged hills of Priorat, Catalonia. Founded by Jordi Masdeu and renowned viticulturist Jordi Vidal, the winery focuses on producing expressive, site-driven wines using fruit from old vine plots cultivated on steep llicorella (slate) terraces. Farming is sustainable, with organic practices employed to preserve the biodiversity and natural balance of the region’s dramatic landscape.

Mas La Mola Vi d’Altura 2019 is a blend of Garnacha and Cariñena from high-altitude vineyards that yield low quantities of intensely flavoured grapes. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged for around 14 months in French oak barrels, balancing structure and elegance. Expect aromas of black cherry, wild herbs, and mineral spice, leading to a rich, silky palate. Ideal with roasted lamb, game dishes or aged Manchego cheese.
