Marcillac Cuvee Reserve 2019

Located in the heart of the Marcillac valley, the “les Vignerons du Vallon” cooperative is made up of around forty producers. 100% Fer Servadou, a classic grape variety from the southwest of France that's characteristic for low alcohol, medium-full bodied and quite structured wines. The clay-limestone soils where the vines are planted give character to this exceptional wine. The Cuvée Réservée comes from vines on well-exposed hillsides aged at least 15 years. Its colour is young, a beautiful cherry red and its nose is complex where we find black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) which are tinged with notes of spices, peppers and aromatics. This quintessential local wine will pair perfectly with a South-West dish or a good piece of red meat.
