Maison Lou Dumont Bourgogne Blanc 2022
Maison Lou Dumont was established in 2000 by Japanese husband and wife team Koji Nakada and Jae Hwa Park, who sought to honour Burgundy’s rich winemaking heritage through an artisanal, minimal intervention approach. Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, the estate sources fruit from organically and sustainably farmed vineyards across the region. The wines are vegan friendly, produced without animal-based fining agents, and reflect a deep respect for terroir and tradition.
The Bourgogne Blanc 2022 is crafted from Chardonnay grapes grown on limestone-rich soils in the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Fermented with native yeasts the wine is aged for around 12 months in oak barrels, a small portion of which are new, to enhance texture and complexity. It displays aromas of white peach, citrus and hazelnut with a touch of minerality. Fresh and balanced, it pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, roast chicken or creamy pasta dishes.
