Maison Les Alexandrins Crozes Hermitage Blanc 2021
Maison Les Alexandrins is a collaborative project founded by prominent Rhône winemakers aiming to highlight the terroirs of Crozes-Hermitage. The vineyards are sustainably managed with a focus on minimal intervention and respect for the environment. Planted on granite and sandy soils along the northern Rhône the vines benefit from excellent drainage and a continental climate, producing aromatic and expressive grapes.
The 2021 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is made predominantly from Marsanne with a small proportion of Roussanne. The grapes are hand harvested and gently pressed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel and neutral oak barrels, followed by 8-10 months ageing on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity without overpowering freshness. The wine reveals notes of white flowers, pear and subtle honeyed nuances with a vibrant, mineral-driven finish. Pair with roasted poultry, creamy seafood dishes or soft cheeses for an elegant accompaniment.
