Maison Gautheron Montagny Les Bassets 2022

Bastien Gautheron started his career at Olivier Leflaive, the famous house in Puligny Montrachet. Bastien began vinifying family plots in the cellars of Pierre-Henri Rougeot in Meursault, and is now working on the construction of his own cellar in the center of Dijon. About 20% of the grapes are coming from his own organically farmed vineyards, with the rest coming from organic farmers.

This Montagny comes from plots on the lower slopes of the village, in the Cote Chalonnaise. It is a very soft, rounded and gentle expression of Chardonnay, with juicy, ripe fruit and dairy notes. Lovely texture and a long, savoury finish.
