Magoutes Moschomavro 2022

Magoutes Moschomavro 2022 is produced by Magoutes Vineyard, a small, quality-focused estate in the historic Siatista wine region of northern Greece, run by the Diamantis family. The producer is dedicated to preserving and reviving rare indigenous grape varieties, particularly Moschomavro, which is native to the area and was close to extinction. The vineyards are located at high altitude on rocky, limestone-rich soils, contributing freshness and finesse.

The wine is made from 100% Moschomavro, harvested by hand from steep hillside vineyards. Vinification is carried out to preserve varietal purity and freshness, without overt oak influence. In the glass, it shows a bright ruby colour with aromas of red cherry, strawberry, dried herbs and subtle floral notes. The palate is fresh and finely structured with gentle tannins and lively acidity. It pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, lamb dishes or traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
