Produced by Luis Seabra in the Douro Valley, Portugal, Xisto Ilimitado Branco is a precise and expressive white wine that captures the character of the region’s traditional vineyards and iconic schist soils. After many years working alongside Dirk Niepoort, where he played an important role in the development of some of the Douro’s most respected wines, Luis Seabra created his own label with a philosophy centred on authenticity, terroir and minimal intervention. The Xisto Ilimitado range is inspired by the idea of expressing the wider Douro landscape, bringing together the complexity of multiple vineyard sites rather than focusing on a single parcel. The Douro’s ancient schist soils, steep slopes and dry continental climate create wines with remarkable minerality, freshness and structure.

Made from a traditional blend of indigenous Douro white grape varieties, Xisto Ilimitado Branco showcases the depth and complexity that can be achieved from Portugal’s historic white grapes. The blend is sourced from old vineyards planted with varieties adapted to the Douro’s challenging conditions, creating a wine with both freshness and character. Crafted with a restrained approach, the wine focuses on purity, texture and vineyard expression, allowing the natural personality of the varieties and schist terroir to shine. It displays aromas of lemon zest, white flowers, orchard fruit and fresh herbs, complemented by notes of wet stone, subtle smoke and saline minerality. On the palate, it is elegant and finely balanced, combining vibrant acidity with a silky texture, savoury complexity and a long, mineral-driven finish.
