Luis Anxo Rodriguez Os Pasas Blanco 2021

Luis Anxo is one of the main producers of Ribeiro in Galicia. At a time when the focus had shifted mainly to volume and mostly palomino and garnacha tintorera were planted for the production of bulk wines, Anxo decided to return to the traditions of his great-grandparents in North-West Spain. He replanted his 5 hectares of vineyards with traditional, local grape varieties and started to produce beautiful wines in a small-scale, traditional way. This white is made from treixadura, albariño, lado and torrontés. It produces this extraordinarily original, pure and authentic white wine, with subtle notes of stone fruit, blossom and salty minerality, a beautiful creamy structure and a lingering aftertaste. This calls for oysters, shells or really anything that comes from the sea.
