Lough Gill High King Madeira BA Barley Wine

High King is a real new adventure for Lough Gill Brewery. This beer smells like an imperial stout, looks like a whiskey, and tastes like a sherry. This Barley Wine has gone through a very long fermentation and slow barrel maturation, it has no head, and NO CARBONATION. Dried fruit notes mingle with classic Madeira flavours, followed by a layer of subtle wood spice, hints of fresh red fruit, and a honey-like sweetness.

Craft Brewed and aged in our independent brewery in Sligo. Matured in Scotch Whisky ex-Madeira Barrels from Boann Distillery in Drogheda. Best enojyed at room temperature!
