Livio Felluga Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Livio Felluga is a prestigious estate in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, founded in the 1950s, and now run by the third generation of the Felluga family. The vineyards sit across the Collio and Colli Orientali hills, planted on marl and sandstone “ponca” soils and with cooling influence from the nearby Adriatic Sea. The estate embraces sustainability, using organic-style practices (though not fully certified) and avoiding harsh chemical treatments to protect biodiversity.

The Sauvignon Blanc 2021 is crafted from carefully selected blocks on limestone-rich slopes in the Collio. The grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, followed by partial ageing in neutral oak and stailess steel to build texture while preserving aromatic freshness. It shows aromas of gooseberry, nettle leaf and tropical fruit, with crisp acidity and a saline minerals finish. Ideal with fresh seafood, goat’s cheese or asparagus dishes.
