Les Deux Cols Cotes du Rhone Alize 2023

Les Deux Cols is a boutique winery in the southern Rhône founded by winemakers Simon Tyrrell, Charles Derain and Laurent Delaye. The estate is dedicated to sustainable viticulture with minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar. The Alizé cuvée comes from old-vine Grenache grown on stony, limestone-rich soils in the foothills of the Montagne Noire, where the warm Mediterranean climate is tempered by cooling mistral winds.

The Alizé 2023 is made from hand-harvested fruit, fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts to emphasise freshness and purity. After fermentation in stainless steel, a small portion is aged in seasoned French oak barrels for 6–8 months, adding subtle texture and spice while maintaining freshness. The wine shows bright red berry fruit, wild herbs, and a gentle savoury edge. It pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, duck, charcuterie, or roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
