Lavina is a Georgian producer focused on showcasing indigenous grape varieties from regions such as Imereti in western Georgia. The area has a humid, temperate climate influenced by the Black Sea, with warm summers and moderate rainfall. Vineyards are planted on limestone, clay and alluvial soils, contributing freshness and finesse. The estate follows sustainable practices including manual harvesting, low chemical input, soil management to maintain biodiversity and careful canopy control to protect vine health. The approach emphasises minimal intervention while preserving the character of local varieties and terroir.

The Lavina Aladasturi 2023 is made from the rare Georgian red variety Aladasturi, known for its light colour and bright acidity. The grapes are spontaneously fermented in qvevri, with a short maceration on the skins to retain delicacy, followed by ageing in inert vessels for a few months to preserve freshness. The wine shows lifted aromas of red cherry, cranberry, pomegrante and wild strawberry with subtle herbaceous bay leaf notes and a floral lift. The palate is light, juicy and refreshing with soft tannins and a clean finish. Best served slightly chilled, it pairs well with charcuterie, Indian cuisine and grilled vegetables.
