Kershaw Elgin Syrah 2019

Kershaw Wines is the personal project of English-born Master of Wine Richard Kershaw, based in the cool-climate Elgin Valley of South Africa. Established in 2012, the winery focuses on limited-production, site-specific wines crafted with meticulous precision. Kershaw is especially renowned for producing world-class Chardonnay and Syrah that highlight Elgin’s unique terroir.

The Kershaw Elgin Syrah 2019 is sourced from carefully selected vineyard blocks, fermented with whole berries and aged in French oak barrels for finesse. Aromas of violets, blackberries and cracked pepper lead to flavours of dark plum, blueberry, and subtle smoked meat. Fine-grained tannins and bright acidity deliver elegance, structure and longevity.
