Description

Produced by Karas Winery in Armenia’s Armavir region, A Tale of 2 Mountains White is a distinctive expression of Armenian terroir, combining indigenous heritage with international winemaking influences. Founded by the Eurnekian family, Karas Winery is one of Armenia’s most ambitious modern wine projects, built around the historic vineyards of the Ararat Valley and a deep connection to the country’s ancient winemaking traditions. The estate’s vineyards are located between two iconic mountains, Mount Ararat and Mount Aragats, which inspire the name of this cuvée. The high-altitude volcanic soils, dry continental climate and dramatic temperature variations between day and night create ideal conditions for producing wines with freshness, aromatic intensity and a strong sense of place. Karas works with both native Armenian varieties and international grapes, showcasing the remarkable potential of Armenia’s unique landscape.

A Tale of 2 Mountains White is a blend of 60% Kangun and 40% Chenin Blanc, bringing together Armenia’s indigenous grape heritage with one of the Loire Valley’s most respected white varieties. The wine displays vibrant aromas of citrus fruits, white peach and green apple, complemented by floral notes, hints of tropical fruit, fresh herbs and a subtle mineral character from the volcanic soils. On the palate, it is bright and refreshing, with crisp acidity, a lively texture and a clean, elegant finish. The combination of Kangun’s freshness and Chenin Blanc’s natural structure creates a beautifully balanced white that reflects both the ancient origins and modern evolution of Armenian winemaking. A versatile companion for seafood, grilled fish, salads, fresh cheeses and lighter Mediterranean dishes.
