Josef & Philipp Brundlmayer Gruner Veltliner 2022

Josef & Philipp Bründlmayer is a father and son estate based in Grunddorf, with around 25 hectares of vineyards in the Kremstal and Kamptal. Founded by Josef in 1990 and now run by Philipp, the estate has developed a reputation for expressive, unadorned wines that reflect their vineyards. The vineyards are sustainably farmed by hand, with loess terraces providing an ideal home for Grüner Veltliner.

The 2022 Lössterrassen is 100% Grüner Veltliner, harvested by hand and vinified in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and precision. The wine is given a long period on its fine lees, adding subtle texture while retaining its lively character. Crisp and juicy, it combines tart green apple, lemon zest and grapefruit with the variety's distinctive white-pepper spice, fine minerality and a gently savoury finish. Fresh, dry and highly versatile, it is excellent with schnitzel, pork, fish, shellfish and lightly spiced Asian cuisine.
