La Prairie du Haut is produced by Domaine Ganevat in Rotalier in France’s Jura region, one of the most distinctive terroirs in eastern France. The domaine is run by Jean-François Ganevat and his sister Anne and is known for biodynamic farming, extremely low yields and minimal intervention winemaking. Despite the Jura identity on the label, this cuvée is made from old vine Savagnin Rose originally sourced from Alsace, grown on marl and limestone soils that contribute freshness, tension and aromatic complexity.

The 2021 vintage is vinified with long, gentle élevage, spending around three years in large oak demi-muids followed by additional time in bottle before release. It is bottled unfiltered and typically without added sulphur, reflecting the estate’s natural winemaking philosophy. The wine shows expressive aromas of citrus peel, green apple and ripe pear alongside floral notes, spice and subtle honeyed complexity. The palate is textured and energetic with bright acidity, saline minerality and a long, precise finish. It pairs beautifully with Comté, roast poultry, freshwater fish and mushroom based dishes.
