Iuli Rosso Rossore Barbera 2021
Cascina Luli is a small, family run estate founded in 1998 by Fabrizio Luli in Montaldo di Cerrina, within the Monferrato hills of Piemonte. The vineyards are certified organic and farmed with a low intervention, sustainable approach and the wines are vegan friendly. Planted on distinctive calcareous clay soils rich in limestone, the vineyards benefit from a continental climate and rolling hillside exposures, producing wines with freshness, structure and marked mineral character.
Rossore Barbera 2021 is made from 100% Barbera, fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete and aged for around 24 months in large oak botti, followed by approximately 6 months in bottle. Unfiltered and minimally handled, it shows notes of black cherry, plum, dried herbs and spice, with a supple texture and lively acidity. It pairs well with roasted meats, charcuterie, rich pasta dishes and aged cheeses.
