Isole e Olena Chianti Classico 2022 Half Bottle

Isole e Olena is a highly respected family-owned estate in the heart of Chianti Classico in Tuscany, founded by Paolo De Marchi in the 1960s. The domaine farms vineyards on steep, south- and south-west facing hillsides with galestro and alberese (limestone-clay) soils that provide excellent drainage and expressive structure. Sustainable viticulture is practised with careful canopy management, the wine is vegan friendly.

The Chianti Classico 2022 Half Bottle is made predominantly from Sangiovese with small amounts of other permitted red varieties. Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with controlled extraction and aged partly in large oak casks to build balance and complexity while preserving purity of fruit. Medium-bodied and vibrant, it shows aromas of ripe cherry, red plum, wild herbs and spice, with bright acidity and fine tannins. It pairs beautifully with tomato-based pasta, grilled meats, poultry, pizza and aged Pecorino, reflecting the classic balance and freshness of Chianti Classico.
