Somatico di Podere Il Castellaccio is a unique Tuscan red wine made from 100% Pugnitello, an ancient indigenous grape recently rediscovered in the Tuscan Maremma region. This full-bodied wine showcases rich aromas of ripe red fruits, liqueur cherries, sweet spices, toasted notes, and cinnamon. Produced using spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in concrete vats, it is aged 12 months in 500-litre tonneau barrels and an additional 12 months in the bottle for refined complexity. With its deep ruby red colour and warm, intense flavour, Somatico offers soft tannins and balanced freshness. Ideal to drink now or cellar for 5 years, this wine revives the traditional character of an almost lost Tuscan grape variety.
