Heimann & Fiai Szekszard Kadarka 2022

Heimann & Fiai is a family-run winery based in the Szekszárd wine region of southern Hungary, led by Zoltán Heimann together with the next generation of the family. The estate farms vineyards on the region’s characteristic loess and iron-rich red clay soils, which are well suited to native varieties such as Kadarka. The winery follows long-established sustainable practices.

Szekszárd Kadarka 2022 is made from 100% Kadarka, harvested with the aim of preserving lively acidity and vibrant, fresh fruit. The grapes are fermented spontaneously using whole clusters in cement vats, allowing the variety’s pure character to shine. After a short ageing period, also in cement, the wine is bottled to retain its original flavour intensity. It offers juicy red berry flavours, bright acidity and a supple texture. Can also be served slightly chilled, it pairs well with charcuterie, roast poultry, paprika-spiced dishes and lighter meat-based cuisine.
