Haut Batailley Verso 2018 Half Bottle

Château Haut Batailley Verso 2018 Half Bottle is the second wine of Château Haut Batailley, a Fifth Growth estate in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. The estate, owned by the Cazes family who also manage Château Lynch Bages, is planted on classic Pauillac gravel and clay soils, producing structured wines with clear expression of terroir.

The 2018 Verso is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Merlot, hand harvested and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats to preserve fruit purity. It is then aged for around 12 months in French oak barrels. This vintage opens with aromas of black cherry, mocha, and graphite. The palate is supple yet structured, showing layered dark fruit, fine tannins, and a polished finish capturing Pauillac’s signature finesse and strength. It pairs beautifully with roast lamb, beef, game, and mature cheeses.
