Garzon Albarino Reserve 2025
Bodega Garzón is one of Uruguay’s leading modern wineries, founded by Alejandro P. Bulgheroni in the Garzón region of Maldonado. Its vineyards lie just 18 kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean, where maritime breezes moderate the warm climate. More than 1,000 small vineyard plots occupy stony hills surrounded by native forest and palms, with granite rich, well drained soils. Garzón prioritises sustainable vineyard management, eliminating herbicides and synthetic products to encourage biodiversity.
Garzón Albariño Reserva 2025 is made from 100% Albariño, hand harvested at optimum ripeness before fermentation in stainless steel tanks and concrete vats. The wine is matured for 3-6 months on its fine lees, building texture while retaining its vibrant freshness. Pale and aromatic, it combines ripe peach and other stone-fruit notes with citrus, subtle floral character and a distinctly mineral palate. Fresh, saline and rounded, with marked acidity and a long finish, it is excellent with grilled seafood, ceviche, prawns, sushi, Asian dishes and fresh salads.
