Fattoria San Lorenzo is a third generation family estate in the Marche region of central Italy, founded by Enrico Crognaletti and now run by Natalino Crognaletti. The winery is certified organic since the early 1990's and farms with biodynamic priciples, with a strong focus on sustainability and biodiversity. Vineyards around Montecarotto, close to the Adriatic, are farmed by hand on clay, limestone and red tuff soils, giving structure and minerality.

Marche Rosso Burello 2021 is a blend of approximately 60% Montepulciano and 40% Sangiovese from older vines. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and extended maceration, the wine is aged for 24 months, with Montepulciano in oak and Sangiovese on lees in tank, followed by 6 months bottle ageing. The wine is bottled unfiltered. It shows ripe blackberry, plum, tobacco and spice notes, with a supple texture, pairing well with roasted meats, game and aged cheeses.
