Domaine Cassiopee Maranges Blanc Les Plantes 2023

Domaine Cassiopée is a small, artisanal estate founded by Florence and Matthieu Delaunay in 2016, located in the village of Sampigny-lès-Maranges at the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. The domaine farms its vineyards organically, following biodynamic principles, with a focus on minimal intervention and biodiversity. The Maranges appellation is known for its limestone-clay soils and cooler climate, producing wines with precision, minerality and freshness. All wines are vegan-friendly and crafted with a deep respect for the terroir.

The Maranges Blanc Les Plantes 2023 is made from 100% Chardonnay grown on limestone-rich slopes with a touch of marl, giving tension and aromatic depth. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels, followed by 10-12 months of ageing on fine lees for added texture and complexity. The wine displays aromas of white peach, citrus zest and subtle hazelnut, with a mineral driven palate and elegant finish. Perfect alongside roast chicken, seared scallops or creamy mushroom risotto.
