Domaine Vincent Dureuil Janthial Rully Blanc 2022

The Dureuil-Janthial family has been rooted in Rully since the 13th century, with Vincent and Céline Dureuil taking over the domaine in 1994 and building its reputation among the Côte Chalonnaise’s leading estates. Their village Rully Blanc draws on several Chardonnay parcels around the village, reflecting the domaine’s detailed understanding of Rully’s varied soils and exposures. Mature vines and naturally low yields provide the wine with depth, while the limestone-rich terroirs bring the freshness and mineral character that make Rully particularly compelling as a source of white Burgundy.

The 2022 vintage brings ripe fruit and a generous, rounded texture, but the wine retains a clear mineral line. White peach, pear and yellow apple are complemented by lemon zest, fresh almond and subtle floral notes, with a lightly smoky nuance developing in the glass. Fermentation and ageing in Burgundy barrels give the wine texture and gentle savoury complexity without turning it overtly oaky. Full enough to have presence on the palate yet carried by fresh acidity, it finishes with a clean, saline note that makes it particularly versatile at the table.
