Domaine Vincent Dureuil Janthial Rully 1er Cru Le Meix Cadot 2022

The Dureuil-Janthial family has been rooted in Rully since the 13th century, with Vincent and Céline Dureuil taking over the domaine in 1994 and establishing it among the Côte Chalonnaise’s most respected estates. Le Meix Cadot is one of their defining white-wine parcels, situated on the hillside above the village on predominantly limestone and marl soils. Its elevated position, exposure and mature Chardonnay vines give the wine a combination of concentration and tension that sets it clearly apart from the domaine’s village Rully.

The 2022 vintage brings generous fruit and impressive depth without losing the site’s natural precision. White peach, pear and ripe citrus are layered with fresh almond, acacia and subtle smoky nuances. Fermentation and élevage in Burgundy barrels add breadth and a gently creamy texture, while the limestone soils keep the palate focused and energetic. There is more density and persistence than in the village wine, with a long, saline finish and the structure to develop beautifully with further bottle age.
