Domaine Des Bosquets Gigondas 2020

The Gigondas Reserve is a blend of different parcels, dominated by 65% Grenache with 25% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre and 3% Cinsault. For 12 months the different varieties age separately: the Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault are aged in 228 litre oak barrels, and the Grenache is aged in 500-600 litre demi-muids. All of the components are then blended and aged in concrete tanks for 6 months prior to bottling. This wine has a complex nose of sweet blackberries, red plums and roasted Provençal herbs. On the palate it is poised, with bright acidity, silky tannins and concentrated flavours of bramble fruits which linger on the finish.
