Domaine de la Plaigne Beaujolais Villages Nouveau 2025

Domaine de la Plaigne Beaujolais Villages Nouveau is produced by the Roux family in Régnié Durette, a four generation estate. Their 15hectares of Gamay vines lie on sandy granitic soils, many over 60 years old. The domaine practices sustainable agriculture and is gradually converting to organic.

The 2025 Nouveau undergoes a short maceration, allowing fresh, primary fruit to shine without extracting harsh tannins. The wine is vinified gently in tanks, emphasising purity and balance. On the nose, expect expressive raspberry and blackcurrant; on the palate, round, fruity flavours, a light frame and a harmonious, delicate finish. A joyful, easy drinking Gamay.
