Domaine de Belliviere Rouge Gorge 2022

Domaine de Bellivière, founded by Éric and Christine Nicolas in 1995, is located in Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir in the northern part of Touraine in the Loire Valley. The estate is certified biodynamic and organic, focusing on preserving biodiversity and expressing terroir. The vineyards are planted on flinty clay and limestone soils producing wines of precision and minerality in a cool, continental climate.

Rouge Gorge is made from Pineau d’Aunis, a historic grape variety from the Loire. The grapes are hand-harvested, vinified with natural yeasts, and aged for around 12 months in old oak barrels to bring finesse while retaining freshness. The wine offers notes of redcurrant, pepper and herbs with delicate tannins. Ideal with charcuterie, roast poultry, mushroom dishes or soft cheeses.
