Produced by Curatolo Arini in Sicily, Marsala Fine Secco is a classic expression of one of the world’s most historic fortified wine styles. Founded in 1875 by Francesco Curatolo, Curatolo Arini is one of Sicily’s oldest family-owned Marsala producers, with a long tradition of crafting wines that reflect the island’s unique Mediterranean character. The vineyards are located in western Sicily, around the Marsala and Trapani areas, where the warm climate, strong coastal influences and mineral-rich soils create ideal conditions for native Sicilian grape varieties. The combination of intense sunshine, sea breezes and traditional winemaking heritage gives Marsala its distinctive character, balancing richness with freshness and complexity.
Made from traditional Sicilian white grapes, primarily Grillo and Catarratto, Fine Secco is a dry fortified wine aged to develop depth, elegance and aromatic complexity. Fortified with grape spirit and matured according to the traditional Marsala method, it reveals aromas of toasted almonds, dried fruit, citrus peel, vanilla and subtle spice. On the palate, it is dry and refined, showing nutty complexity, gentle richness, balanced acidity and a long, savoury finish. A versatile and characterful Marsala, it can be enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with Sicilian cuisine, seafood, aged cheeses, roasted poultry, mushrooms and traditional Mediterranean dishes. It is also a superb ingredient for classic Italian cooking, particularly sauces and dishes where a touch of depth and elegance is desired.
