Curatolo Arini Inzolia 2021
Produced by Curatolo Arini in western Sicily, this wine comes from one of the island’s historic family estates, founded in 1875 and based near Marsala. The winery has long specialised in both fortified and still Sicilian wines, with a strong focus on indigenous varieties that reflect the character of the island. Vineyards are located in the coastal areas of Trapani and surrounding countryside, where a warm Mediterranean climate is tempered by sea breezes that preserve freshness in the grapes. Soils are predominantly sandy and calcareous, contributing lightness, aromatic lift and a subtle saline edge.
Made from 100% Inzolia, the grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed before fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel to preserve varietal purity. A short period of lees contact is used to enhance texture while maintaining a clean, fruit driven profile. The wine shows aromas of citrus blossom, green apple and pear alongside notes of white peach, almond and subtle Mediterranean herbs. The palate is fresh and lightly textured with bright acidity, soft orchard fruit flavours and a delicate mineral finish. It pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, light pasta dishes, salads, shellfish and simple Mediterranean cuisine.
