Clos du Gravillas is based in the village of Saint-Jean de Minervois in the shadow of the Montagne Noir in the Minervois region of Languedoc-Roussillon. The 6-hectare estate is owned and run by American John Bojanowski and his wife Nicole who hails from Narbonne. "When the scoundrels of old Carignan meet the beautiful and dashing mountain grown Cabernet Sauvignon." Very intense and pure red, slightly purplish, aromas of very ripe black fruits between blueberry and blackberry mixed with smoky notes, bay leaf, thyme and violet. Perfect with beef entrecote, beef rib steak, duck and prune skewer, and veal with olives.
