Description

Chiche is a family winery based in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia, where it crafts wines that celebrate the country's indigenous grape varieties and centuries old winemaking traditions. The grapes for this wine are sourced from the prestigious Tsinandali micro-zone in the Alazani Valley, renowned for its warm days, cool nights and extended growing season. The vineyards are planted on well drained alluvial soils with clay and limestone, producing wines with freshness, elegance and mineral character. The winery follows sustainable vineyard practices with respect for the natural environment, and the wines are generally considered vegan friendly.

Chiche Tsinandali 2024 is a classic blend of approximately 80% Rkatsiteli and 20% Mtsvane, the two traditional grape varieties of the Tsinandali appellation. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented at controlled temperatures to preserve their vibrant fruit and aromatic purity, before maturing for around 6 months in French oak barrels to add subtle texture and complexity. Aromas of citrus, green apple, white peach and white blossom are complemented by delicate notes of vanilla and sweet spice. The palate is fresh, elegant and mineral, making it an excellent match for grilled fish, seafood, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes and soft cheeses.
