Chateau Lestignac Fleuve Merlot 2023

Chateau Lestignac, based in Bergerac in southwestern France, is a family-owned estate committed to biodynamic and sustainable viticulture. The team uses biodynamic preparations, lunar calendar pruning and cover crops to enhance soil vitality and vineyard ecosystem health. Their vegan-friendly approach avoids animal derived fining agents and minimal sulpur are added to their wines the vines flourish on a mix of gravel, clay and limestone soils, producing expressive, terroir-driven wines.

The Chateau Lestignac Pagaille Fleuve Merlot is made from 100% Merlot grapes, carefully harvested and fermented in stainless steel to maintain the purity of fruit. The wine is lightly aged in neutral oak barrels for several months, enhancing texture and balance. Aromas of black cherry, plum and subtle spice are complemented by soft tannins, pairing well with roasted meats, casseroles or mature cheeses.
