Chauveau La Charmette Pouilly Fume 2023 HALF BTL

Along with its neighbor Sancerre, just across the river, Pouilly-Fume is one of the Loire wine region’s most notable appellations. The Fume in the title actually means “smoky” and refers to the gunflint in the soil found in the area, of which character delicately reflects in the flavor of the wine.

This Sauvignon Blanc is bright, fruity and refreshing, with lean and keen mineral flavors and moderately long, clean finish. Wonderful with light seafood or white meat dishes, especially raw oysters and shellfish. The family-owned estates of Domanie Chauveau has been producing Pouilly-Fume for five generations.
