Bott Frigyes Harslevelu 2023

Bott Frigyes Hárslevelu 2023 is produced by the family-run Bott Frigyes winery in the Garam Valley of southern Slovakia. The vineyards lie on the Hill of Muzsla above the river Garam, within a historic winegrowing area once associated with the vineyards of Esztergom. Soils are volcanic clay with high limestone and mineral content, contributing freshness and structure. The estate follows sustainable, low-intervention practices, and the wine is vegan friendly, with no added sulphites.

The 2023 Hárslevelu is made from 100% Hárslevelu, hand-harvested and gently pressed before fermentation. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with minimal intervention, followed by a short period on fine lees to enhance texture while preserving purity. Medium-bodied, the wine shows notes of pear, apple, citrus blossom and subtle honey, supported by fresh acidity and a mineral finish. It pairs well with grilled fish, seafood, light poultry dishes, vegetable cuisine and soft cheeses.
