Barczentewicz Riesling 2022

The wine Barczentewicz Riesling 2022 comes from Winnica Kamil Barczentewicz, a small family-owned Polish vineyard on a limestone-hill near the village of Dobre. The 12-hectare estate cultivates vines on south-facing slopes with marl-limestone-clay soils, benefiting from a cool continental climate moderated by the nearby Vistula River.

The 2022 Riesling is produced from various Riesling clones, some fruit partially affected by noble rot (around 15–20%). Fermentation and a seven-month lees maturation occur in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and purity. The wine displays aromas of lime-flower, acacia honey, pear, peach and subtle petrol-like minerality, with a creamy texture, bright acidity and a juicy, mineral finish. It is an excellent match for white fish, seafood, light salads or subtly-spiced Asian dishes.
