Barczentewicz Gewurztraminer 2022

Barczentewicz Gewurztraminer 2022 comes from the Barczentewicz family estate near Dobre in eastern Poland’s Lublin region. Vineyards sit on loess and clay rich soils with good drainage and a continental climate.

The 2022 Gewurztraminer is 100% Gewurztraminer, hand harvested at ideal ripeness and gently pressed before fermentation in stainless steel to preserve expressive aromatics. After fermentation the wine sees short lees contact for texture and balance, with no extended oak ageing so the pure fruit shines. Expect intensely perfumed notes of lychee, rose petal, spice and citrus blossom, lively acidity and a plush, silky palate. The wine is off dry to medium in body and pairs beautifully with spicy Asian cuisine, rich seafood dishes, creamy cheeses or fruit based desserts.
