Alegre Valganon Rioja Blanco 2024

Alegre Valgañón is the project of winemakers Óscar Alegre and Eva Valgañón, who focus on crafting expressive, low-intervention wines from organically farmed vineyards in Rioja Alta. The grapes are sourced from small, high altitude plots in the Obarenes Mountains, where clay-limestone and sandstone soils lend freshness and minerality. All wines are vegan friendly and produced with a sustainable approach.

The Rioja Blanco blends Viura and Garnacha Blanca from old bush vines. It is naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels and aged on fine lees for added texture and complexity. Aromas of citrus, pear, and white flowers lead to a crisp, mineral finish. Perfect with grilled seafood, roast chicken or creamy vegetable dishes.
