Monemvasia Winery Voltes White 2023

Monemvasia Winery Voltes White 2023 is a dry white wine from Monemvasia Winery Tsimbidi, a family owned estate in Monemvasia in the Peloponnese, Greece. The winery was founded in 1997 with a focus on native Greek varieties and local terroir. Voltes takes its name from the twisting uphill pathways of the historic town. The vineyards for this wine include Roditis grapes from high altitude vineyards and Moschofilero from the cool climate plateau of Mantineia, bringing freshness and aromatic intensity to the blend. Both varieties are vinified separately to highlight their individual characters.

The 2023 vintage is a blend of Roditis and Moschofilero, fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel and matured briefly on fine lees to add texture and mouthfeel. It is pale yellow in colour with aromas of freshly cut flowers, green apple and juicy stone fruits, supported by a smooth, refreshing acidity and a pleasant finish. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C with green salads, yellow cheeses, pasta with white sauces, grilled fish or light Mediterranean dishes for an elegant, food friendly white wine.
