Guerila Amphora Extreme 2016

Guerila is a biodynamic and organic winery in the Vipava Valley of Slovenia, led by Zmagoslav Petric. The estate is certified organic and Demeter biodynamic, with terraced vineyards planted on flysch type soils of sand, marl, limestone and clay. The region benefits from a Mediterranean climate tempered by Alpine breezes. Guerila focuses on minimal intervention, hand harvesting grapes and producing vegan friendly wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Vipava Valley.

Amphora Extreme 2016 is made from 100?% Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) grapes. The grapes are hand-picked, fermented with native yeasts and aged for approximately six months on skins in clay amphorae before further maturation in the same vessels. The wine has a deep golden amber colour and a dry, textured palate with aromas of dried herbs, flowers, mature orchard fruit and mineral notes. It pairs beautifully with grilled vegetables, savoury stews, chickpea dishes or mature cheeses, and is best served slightly cool to showcase its aromatic complexity and structure.
