Made predominantly from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with the final blend determined entirely by the character of the vintage, Pensées de Lafleur 2001 was vinified with great precision before ageing in French oak barrels. After more than two decades in bottle, it has evolved into an extraordinarily elegant expression of mature Pomerol. The bouquet reveals layers of black cherry, plum and wild berries intertwined with violets, cedar, graphite, cigar box, truffle, forest floor, tobacco and subtle spice.
