Simonin Pouilly Fuisse Vieilles Vignes 2020

Balanced nose full of white peaches, limes and flowers with a stony Fuissé character. Full-bodied, juicy and very intense on the palate, with pure Chardonnay fruit and the smoky terroir typical of Pouilly, with a nice freshness. Long finish with a nice minerality and a subtle hint of cedar wood. Complex, captivating white Burgundy with the intensity of a Meursault. Fermented and aged sur lie in oak barrels for 11 months. 100% Chardonnay from 80 year old vine. Delicious with grilled chicken with mushroom cream sauce, cauliflower gratin with cheese, sole and risotto with prawns.
