Toro, created to highlight the region’s old vineyards and the generations of growers who have shaped its viticultural tradition. While the estate is best known for its Tinta de Toro reds, La Moza looks back to the historic importance of white grapes in Toro, particularly Verdejo and Malvasía Castellana. The wine represents the younger generation in Matsu’s story, bringing together younger Verdejo vines with exceptionally old white-vine parcels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eLa Moza 2025 is 85% Verdejo, 13% Malvasía Castellana and 2% Godello, Albillo, Palomino and Viura. Unusually, it combines two vintages: the Verdejo was hand harvested in September 2025, while the older vine varieties come from the 2024 harvest. After four hours of skin contact and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts. The Verdejo is fermented and aged for three months on its lees in concrete, while the other varieties spend 14 months in lightly toasted 600 litre French oak. Pear, citrus and white fruit combine with creamy, honeyed and herbal notes, with good acidity, broad texture and a gently bitter, citrus-led finish.
