Mas Foraster La Moto 2024

An organic wine from Cataluna, La Moto is a perfect addition to any day. From clay and sand soils in the far northeastern area of Spain, Foraster delivers a surprisingly low alcohol red in La Moto. This history of the vineyard is rich and deep, beginning in 1828 this vineyard has survived property loss due to the Spanish civil war and the conversion from vineyard to livestick farm and then back to vineyard. After nearly two centuries, the Foraster family can still be found harvesting grapes and experimenting in the cellars. In 2005 they began implementing organic farming methods earning them an organic certification that allows them to cultivate the highest quality grapes and maintain the history of the soil.

Delivering a medium bodied juicy red fruit forward flavor on the palate balanced with an even acidity. On the nose it offers light notes of earthy herbs, raspberries and smoked tobacco. Pairs well with meat forward dishes or delicious on its own.
