Marmicas Tempranillo Ribera del Duero 2023
From the Ribera del Duero region of Spain, these grapes are grown on the banks of the river and were largely abandoned until roughly 1995 when the land was purchased and reworked to produce a selection of delightful wines. From the northern part of Spain, these vines avoid harsh weather events brought by sea fronts and often thrive in the hotter even climate in inland Spain. Soils lined with chalk and limestone give the tempranillo a very tradition mineral quality found in spanish red wines.
A well rounded medium body red, perfect with a meal or on its own. On the nose it offers brighter red fruits and on the palate tastes of juicy raspeberries with an earthy essence. The tannin give it the perfect amount of bite you'd want from any spanish red.
