The estate’s vineyards are located on the famous gravel terraces of Pauillac, on the same privileged Médoc terroir that allows Cabernet Sauvignon to reach exceptional expression. The 2017 vintage was shaped by a difficult spring frost followed by a warm, dry summer, producing lower yields but beautifully refined wines in the best terroirs. Rather than the power of 2016, 2017 is characterised by elegance, aromatic finesse and polished tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eMade from approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, Lacoste-Borie 2017 offers an accessible interpretation of the Grand-Puy-Lacoste style. The wine was matured in French oak barrels for around 14 months, developing complexity while preserving the freshness and precision of the fruit. Aromas of cassis, black cherry and red plum are complemented by notes of violet, cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf and subtle spice. The palate is refined and beautifully balanced, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and the classic mineral character associated with Pauillac.
