La Pousse D'Or '60 Ouvree' Monopole Volnay 1er Cru 2018

Le Clos des 60 Ouvrées is a Volnay Premier Cru from a Monopole of 2.39 hectares: a plot surrounded by a dry stone wall and planted to the south of the village, on the edge of the commune of Meursault. The Pinot Noir vines were planted between 1954 and 1987. The harvest is manual and three sorts are carried out in the vat room. The bunches are destemmed and the grapes macerate cold for 5 to 7 days, with vatting lasting on average 21 days. The wine is aged on lees for 16 to 18 months, including 12 months in oak barrels .
