After several years in bottle, the wine has developed additional savoury complexity and a more integrated structure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eFermented with a proportion of whole clusters and matured in French oak, Wunderwerk is built around texture and balance rather than overt extraction. The 2017 now shows ripe red cherry, blackberry and plum alongside dried violet, forest herbs, cedar and subtle earthy spice. The palate is supple and finely structured, with polished tannins and bright acidity supporting the mature fruit. Underlying savoury and mineral notes emerge with air, giving the wine a layered, persistent finish.
